Where to eat in Windsor

If food and drink are your pleasures, you will not be disappointed by Windsor! There is such a good choice of eating and drinking establishments within Windsor town centre and Eton, that listing them all is a near impossibility. Within a short walk of the Castle you will find historic pubs and restaurants, continental-style pavement cafes, traditional tea rooms, wine bars, Indian and Chinese restaurants, Mexican cantinas, American diners, an abundance of Italian restaurants, and many others, including all the fast food chains.

The best areas for daytime food are Peascod Street, Thames Street and Royal Windsor Station. In the evening try Thames Street / High Street, Eton High Street, St Leonards Road, and under the arches of Royal Windsor Station. Our advice is simply to look, smell and take your pick, but if you need food in a big hurry, you'll find all the popular burger and pizza chains on the High Street opposite the Castle.
